Lots of our avionics will continue to work down to a pretty low voltage, so
with 24v you have more reserve electrical power and fewer fluctuation
problems. Also, your wiring can potentially be smaller since higher voltage
means less amperage for the same power. The only downside I can think of is
more expense. Look at "Wiring for Smart People" on
