    You are correct the flap push rods are not removable after the center
console is built unless you make some kind of a modification to allow it.
My plan was "in the unlikely event that I would ever have to remove a push
rod" I would cut access holes with cover plates through the console sides to
push them through.  With luck, I will never have to do that.
