Visualize the angle that the belt makes as it leaves the reel and progresses up and rearward to the pivot point, then swivels forward and down around the neck/shoulder to cross the chest and down to the short belt/connecter between the seats.  Its almost exactly the same installation that was in the van. I have considered making the long belt a little longer since I do take up a lot of space but I havent gotten around to that project yet.  However, I do think that I will add the standard Lancair front seat lapbelts in addition to the inertial reel setup since I got caught in a nasty Kansas thunderstorm a while ago and got tossed around pretty bad.  (Again that dammed hindsight).  Let me know if a picture would help.  Regards, Bill Hogarty
