Gang,
Success! The first ever West Coast Formation Clinic came off very well! From the Ground School on Friday morning to the last departures on Sunday the event ran relatively smoothly and conduct on the part of the participants was nothing but professional. Second only in importance to safety is fun, and from all that I spoke with (which I think is all 27 pilots that attended) a good time was had by all!
I usually will take the time to write up a full description of the event to both make those who missed it feel even worse :)-, and perhaps motivate others to not miss the fun next time around. However, I am so slammed for time that it will have to wait until later when we update the web site.
In all, there were over 25 participating aircraft (5 LNC2's, and 3 LEG2's, the rest RV something or others, 2 Extra 300's, a Skybolt, a Swift, and a Cherokee), and several more a/c that made it in to check things out for a little while.
Thanks, for the pics, Mike! If you could forward hi res shots on to me, I'd appreciate it.
Next clinic will probably be this fall at Paso Robles.
Until next time, keep your paint to yourself!
Cheers,
Barry
