No formal Lancair meeting but maybe we could all head down toward the hamburger lunch around 11:30. Driving? Last fall the main gate still required visitor calls on those driving into Pecan. If you plan to drive please let me know and I'll have Kim call the main gate and bounce you drive in directions. Flyers: I'd strongly recommend trying to be on the ground by about 9:30 just to minimize the traffic congestion. Freq: 123.05 All traffic is LEFT. Our preferred runway is usually 18 for the fly-in. If using 18 approach the downwind from a good 5 mile southeast to make a gentle 45 deg downwind entry at 1700 ft. The pattern will have numerous slow movers. Be prepared to depart and reenter or courteously nudge your way into the fray. After landing expect to exit the west side of the runway and taxi north on the grass. You'll then cross the runway at the north end. Parking: I'd love to see numerous Lancairs parked up by my house. I live at the extreme NE corner of the field. Exit the North turn button and angle about 45 deg NE and you'll be looking at two white hangars. Mine is the left one. The taxi directors will probably get you close depending on traffic. Above all, Fly Safe. If the weather is good there will be over 100 visitors. Larry PS: If you recently joined the SWLBF distribution list, I've copied the LML so you can confirm that I've got you on my list. That is, you should receive this email twice. ------=_NextPart_000_0215_01C54D7B.A0134220 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Message
