I had an unfortunate event occur when picking up my Lancair IV-P from the
paint shop. I was alarmed to find about 20 cracks mostly on the
inferior border of the door window. No visible cracks were present
when I took the airplane to the shop. The cracks run 1/4" from the
window edge (see photo). There were no cracks around the bolts
holding the forward hinge and no cracking noted on any other
windows.
My IV-P has not been pressurized yet. I do not have a fast-build door
and the service bulletin regarding the door had been addressed.
No solvents were used during installation, only brushed clean and air
dried. I know the painter sanded and added micro to the window edge before
painting. It is not known if any solvents came in contact with the window
while at the paint shop.
I am at a loss as to why this has occurred. I assume chemicals,
but frankly my knowledge regarding acrylic failure is limited. Does anyone
have experience in this field?

PS Any tips regarding replacement of the window would also be
appreciated.
