Dear John,
Despite the stunning east coast weather, I had a poor Sun-n-fun experience this year.
While the “best of show” contests attract gorgeous show planes and people that enjoy
looking at them, the Sun100 race attracts “active innovators”. So without the race,
Sun-n-fun had
1) Less innovators showing off new ideas. (my ram air intake design led to a
better race finish in 2004 than 2003)
2) Fewer active pilots flying in showcase. (I flew every day in the last two
OSH, but left Sun-n-fun early this year)
Without the race attracting “active innovators” you are denying your public the chance
to see new performance ideas and your pool of active pilots to increase the variety of
planes flying in Showcase.
I look forward to a Sun100 race in 2006.
