320 Fast Build - 1992 version.
I'm installing rudder pedals on the left side
only and using the Lancair Adjustable Pedal Option.
Will be changing to Grove Wheels and Brakes and
using the Tim Ong De-Bongers.
The brake master cylinders I have are the
MATCO MC-1's. I still have the 3/16 Nylaflow tubing but
have
lost or never had the Poly Flow
Fittings.
Questions:
1) Should I use the NYLAFLOW tubing or
some other product?
(Note: If I use NYLAFLOW I'll buy new - this stuff is already 13 years
old)
2) Should I use the supplied MATCO
MC-1's or is there a better option that is a direct replacement? My
system
has a
pin center length of 7.5". Looking through the ACS catalog I see
that the Grove (w/reservoir) has an 8"
pin
center length - which would require modification to the master
cylinder and/or the pedals. The MC-5 seems
to
be a direct replacement for the older MC-1's and Vern stocks a rebuild kit for
the 5's.
3) If I use the original MC-1's, is
there a good way to test them prior to installation?
4) Seems the consensus is that
installing a parking brake is a good idea - has the MATCO parking
brake
valve
been reliable?
5) I plan to purchase the Grove
Products directly from Grove (Vern told me he didn't stock them) - is
that
the best
option?
Thanks,
Ron Kraus
