I have the TSIO-550-E and MT Four blade prop on my ES. I do run
conservatively though (65%). I perform the ground prop check at 1500 RPM. No
problems with anything to date, however, I only have 275 hours. I just
celebrated the airplane's fourth birthday..
At 100 KIAS, no power, the airplane will descend at 1500' per minute. Pull
the prop back and it's like a hand from underneath is pushing the airplane up.
The descent is then reduced to approxiamtely 640 per minute after the pull.
