Leonard,
Watch out for overconfidence in the 320/360s. I believe that we have had at
least 5 if not 10 x carrier jocks break their props.
I am a non-professional pilot with about 2,500 hours in over 50 different
aircraft. It took me about 750 hours in my 320 (small tail and short fuselage)
to learn how to land it correctly. Even now, after 1,000 hours, I am still
learning.
I got to fly an F-18 simulator at Marimar. I landed the F-18 six times in a
row without an incident. I could never do that in the 320.
We would all love to have another Lancair driver on board but never, never
get overconfident in any Lancair.
Sincerely,
Lorn H. Olsen
And, for the record, I have requisite skills which would not make a check out a monumental task.
