The ACK ELT has a known problem for tripping when transmitting on KX-155 series com radios. I currently have no problem in my installation, but I shortened my tele RJ45 cable to about 1 foot longer than needed. It is currently mounted on the side of the tunnel in the baggage area in my 360. I am also NOT using an outside antenna. The supplied antenna just rests against the aft side of the seatback.
The faulty G-switch is another issue... I know of 4 in my hangar row alone which we can't get to trip. I have the necessary equipment at work and will be testing them all shortly on a small pendelum with an accelerometer and high speed data acquisition system. The specification is roughly 6 g's for 10 to 15 milliseconds duration which when integrated equates about 6 MPH. I will post the results here when I'm finished.
