Have you tried disconnecting the tele hookup at the ELT and
transmitting?
Is the battery fresh (less than 5 years old) in the switch
panel?
If there are two Comm antennas (even if there is only one), does it do it
on either radio?
Can the antenna lines be moved around?
Is the VHF radio the more powerful Garmin 430A/530A?
