At the risk of opening another debate I have to add an addendum to my earlier
response where I conceded that my memory might be shot. It isn't. I finally
located the video I shot at Reno 93. (Ok, my memory isn't perfect, I had a
hard time finding the tape.) I had shot the first three and last two laps of
the Sport Gold race. On the next to last lap Rick actually passed Darryl on
the back part of the course. Darryl caught up and passed Rick just before the
home pylon on the same lap. That's apparently when the picture was taken that
shows them so close together. You can see the same thing in the video.
Darryl continued to pull away and when he took the checkered flag at the end
of the next lap he was indeed nearly 2 seconds in front. So I'd have to say
that the times posted on www.airrace.org are accurate.

Thanks for the support Skip. Here is a photo of our photo finish. As anyone
can tell it was not 1.99 seconds.
