Just to set the record straight, It was a close finish. I spoke with Rick Vandem and he stated that he began his push for the pass a second or two a little early allowing Darryl to hear his prop coming up from behind. Darryl in turn pushed his motor further so Rick's plan could not pass in time. I have all the in-cockpit video from Darryl and you can hear Rick's Legacy close in as they near the last pylon. Exciting stuff. Attached is "the photo".
