Rick, If aviation engines are in the stone age compared to racing, then you
can show me a whole host of automotive engines that have a BSFC of 0.385 like
a normally aspirated IO-550.
But you can't.
A vaunted German air cooled spark ignition aircraft engine with electronic
single lever control only manages about 0.425.
