Walter,
I love to talk to racers. I fly the exact stock engine nearly every day.
It has a different tune on it but my plane is truly a Sport racer. The week
before the 2003 Reno races I was not going to compete because of the time I
was spending on the Epic program. I received a call from the Reno Sport
guys and was asked to consider racing. I changed the oil and filter, put in
new spark plugs did a full condition and flew to Reno. I changed the fuel
flow and that was all the race prep I did from my daily flying set up.
You can race a stock, Supercharged aircraft that you fly everyday and be
competitive.
MY ENGINE IS COMPLETLY STOCK.
There are no other issues. The Supercharger is a great solution for flying
and I have proved it with my aircraft.
Regards,
Rick
