But lets put the rubber on the road. I have a clear understanding of the benefits of Turbocharging and Supercharging. You all are talking about efficiencies and everything without looking at a simple yet absolute truth. I hold the World Speed Record at 347 MPH with a stock engine without intercoolers. Daryl and I raced to first and second in the gold at Reno 2003. Our planes were less than 5 feet apart at the finish. I have photo proof. There are two ways to skin the cat and they both have their good points and bad points. I have raced cars and airplanes for 40 years and racing is about efficiencies. Reno was the proof all the rest is interesting physics without the all the information. I have raced my plane against the best Turbocharged full race, intercooled trick TSIO 550 in the world ond lost by 5 feet. I would be willing to put my stock Supercharged engine on GAMI's dyno with a TSIO 550 and match power and performance any day. Rick
