Alan,
It would depend on how deep the box you want to mount is. There is a
cross brace that runs between the two canopy hinges that will probably
interfere with deep boxes mounted high in the stack. Lancair recommends
mounting deeper boxes lower. (Some builders have chosen not to use the
cross brace; problem solved, in a way.)
Other than that I can't think of any reason (short of getting approval
from the house appropriations committee; r.e. the wife or significant
other) you couldn't make your panel look just like that.
