We have fooled with EGT probes a bit, and there is = a large difference between my orignal probe (old and about toasted) and = his new one. With mine, I have recorded EGT's in the 950 - 1150 range in = flight at a variety of power settings (mainly WOT) About the hottest I = could get it in flight was 1150 - 1200.=20 Just during a runup with the new probe, at 1800 rpm, we were seeing 1400 = to 1500 EGT. I don't have my manuals handy for another 5 days. What have = you guys seen on your planes as a set of ballpark figures? I'm already thinking it's time for a new probe... Thanks in advance.
