Power quadrant question.

I'm a bit long in the leg, and have moved the seat back a few inches. This makes the throttle a wee bit too far for a comfortable resting grasp during takeoff and landings (unlike our cousins, my arms are not equally long).  I plan to add a small extension to the throttle attachment point to give it an extra two inches out.  Has anyone done this?  Seeking some ideas before I dive in.  Send photos.
