Matt. I believe the original response to the
fittings being aluminum came from the series of fittings projecting from the
engine not an individual fitting. If you examine the photo of the Farnsworth
engine you will see that there are multiple fittings that are unsupported at
this time. Any vibration from the "weight" or movement of the hoses will go
directly to the fitting at the block. Strictly a matter of leverage. For you
