Scott's metrological and horological aplomb
Is truly admired by
some
While others read of how things went
And wonder if it is time well
spent
But for those of us with Lancair planes
Conversion of unit's
confusion remains
A velocity standard would set things right
I propose
the furlong per fortnight!
Brent,
The question of time well spent
Is indeed a horological event
The economical component
Most pertinent to the moment
Not in Dollar, Pound or Franc amounts
Quality time is the span that counts
Not the weighty spar on wings yet expounded
No doubt the air is heavy for those now grounded
'Tis meteorology, not metrology that chains me here
Inside, not outside - cold and snow imbuing my fear
That winter weather's a tether, a leash, a chain
Known by Lancairians that await spring's rain
Its' astrological progression just out of sight
Its' creep oft measured in furlongs per fortnight
