I received the new version from Kit components today and there are significant physical differences. Length of valve body 2 1/16 inch as compared to 1 5/8 for the original. Dia.; 1 1/16 vs. 7/8 inch. Length of handle; 4 inches vs. 3 3/16. Weight; about 9 ounces vs. 4 oz. for the original. Pressure rating on the new, larger unit is 2000 PSI. I suggest "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I intend to clean up my old one and re-install it , thus avoiding plumbing changes. It has given me 4 years of service so far, let's see how many more years she has in her. Also, received a new hydraulic cylinder and a repair kit for the old one. I figure if I keep a spare on hand I will reduce the potential for down time.
