 I had similar symptoms in my ES. It turned out to be the pneumatic switch. My
pump would run at different intervals, for different amounts of time. I used
soapy water too and in the end I replaced the pneumatic switch, which by the
way, was less then a year old, and was bad from the manufacturer.
