I have also had the rod end shear off on the inner gear door-when you took
off the inner gear door did you also remove the actuating rod to prevent it
making a hole in the skin?

The other thing that has happened to me is that the RH inner
gear door is slow to close and the propwash appears to be bending the
actuating cylinder rod end and also twisting the hinge and causing it to crack
at the after end. It works fine in the barn!! I cannot find a reason for it
other than the pressure does not peak and shut off until the door is closed.
