For those requiring neck protection in the case of dinging your plane on a
granite pylon, trying a spot landing with the nose only or other sudden
deceleration - consider wearing this:
It does not block access to the Lancair baggage compartment. There are
different ones for different sized heads. It can be worn during other
activities
such as rush hour commuting or receiving espousal tongue lashing and chart
swatting when operating in craft with tandem seating.

PS: This is also helpful for pilots suffering from "lazy neck" caused by
over use of autopilots and TCAS.
