Mike,
I didn't build my Lancair, but my cowl has a line of screws
all the way around. It holds great, but the countersink was too much. The result
is a cowl with large dimples for the screws, and the paint is chipping around
the holes. Might just be the way that mine is, and how is was put on and painted
- just food for your thought.
