Hi All -

I recently acquired an IO-550N for my Legacy, and I need to convert it
from 24v to 12v. I learned that there two choices for alternators, TCM
and Electrosystems. Is there any difference between the two? Are there
any pros and cons to consider?

BTW, yesterday I inquired with Teledyne Mattituck about a FADEC system.
The sales manager contacted the factory, and told me that they were
working on a price for an "EQ kit" that includes the modified sump, low
voltage harness, and magnetic pickups. He said he would get back to me
next week. They are still tweaking the ECU software for certification,
and expect to have something ready by January. It seems I have heard
this FADEC story before...
