This may be at bit unscientific, but hobby stores sell authentic military colors.  NO, don't buy 4,500 bottles!  But I thought you could buy a small bottle, paint it on a small card and take it to an auto paint store for a visual or computer match.  My paint store matched a warm gray mica color to a piece of leather from my interior.
