Larry -
Have you completed assembly of the flaps, thus locking in their shape?
If not, the trailing edge of the flaps, ailerons and wing root can be
constructed so as to all line up. This is accomplished by first installing
the wing tip, then using a string to establish the straight line from the
trailing edge of the wingtip to the wing root. Then construct the ailerons,
lining up their trailing edge to the string line. Then, adjustment can be
made during assembly of the flaps to achieve a straight line across the
entire wingtip, aileron and flap trailing edge.
Also, the trailing edge of the ailerons should be 3/16 to 1/4" thick, this
establishes a slight 'deadband' and is anti-flutter.
If you've already completed assembly of the flaps, then there is a slight
twist in the right flap and there's little that can be done, other than
setting the flap to a compromise position.

Subject: [LML] Flap not lining up with fuslage,

I am building an old 360 kit. the trailing edge of the flap on the right
wing is about 1/2" above the wing root on the fuslage. the left one lines
right up. has anyone had this problem and what did you do? thanks larry
