Any idea how hot these fires get?  I have tested some pretty remarkable fire retardant aluminized ceramic/exotic blends that might withstand such a blast.  I have some pieces stashed away for my own plane on the blanket forward of the firewall.  It is a bit heavier than the standard fabric but a whole lot safer.
