 installed the cable, but I would think that with careful work one could put
 a hole in the tube with the cable inside.  Perhaps by turning the drill bit

[It might be better to get a set of gasket punches and use a small one to make the hole in the tubing.  I picked up a cheap set at Harbor Freight and have found countless uses for it along the way... this would be one of them.  <Marv>     ]
