Run the wiring to the front of the cowl and tie it down with wire ties. The wiring has a cap to cover it when not in use and merely reaching in and attaching the battery minder when your parked is fast and easy. Hope this helps., Pat Brunner N98PB IVP -----Original Message----- From: Lancair Mailing List [mailto:lml@lancaironline.net]On Behalf Of Doug Sent: Monday, November 08, 2004 6:11 AM To: Lancair Mailing List Subject: [LML] Battery minder - Battery tender I'm interested if anyone has wired a recepticle into their panel (or anywhere else) to allow for a quick and easy connection to a battery minder - those state of the art wonders that top off a gel-cell battery and then shut off. My battery, in a LNC-2, will be on the aft face of the firewall, but getting to it to connect a battery minder will be no easy chore. A recepticle to match the battery minder so I can just plug it in and forget about it would be wonderful. Has anyone done this? If so, how did you do it? The connectors on the battery tender I bought from Aircraft Spruce have some rather odd shaped ends. I suppose I could cut them off an install more "standard" connectors, but I'm not sure that is a good idea. Comments anyone?
