Julie,
One thing you might try is to = make a=20 "form in place" door seal.
This is done by putting a bead of = silicone rubber=20 around the frame (or door) and protecting the mating surface with poly = film of=20 some type.  Close and latch the door until cured.
 
This will help but won't work as well = as a more=20 flexible seal.
 
F-16 fighters used this method on the = access=20 doors.
