As we all know, our planes can get pretty warm at this time of year. I have a IV-P, and installed some window tinting film. Wow, what a difference. I went to Walmart, and bought a roll of tinting. Got some masking paper, put it over the outside of my front windshield, about 8-10" down. Used my fingernail to trace an impression around the windshield, put the paper on the film, cut it with a scissor. Went inside the plane, centered the film, and smoothed it out with a credit card. Did the same with the pilot and co-pilot windows.
The plane sat for a couple of weeks, and the film stayed in place. Went flying yesterday. Boy, what a difference. Took about an hour and a half, cost less than $20.
Give it a try.
