Just a comment for what it is worth. If the engine has been converted to experimental, ie changed or no data plate, the AD's do not apply. You should aways take them into account but it is your call if they get done.
I have an IO-360-EXP built up by Performance Areo Engines in my bird. I watch for the AD's but use my own judgement on how I apply them.
