You have what was previously described as a "minor
prop strike" which does not require further action.
Everyone, including the FAA is far more liability
concious than ever. It's not their money they spend.
Do YOU believe there was any chance of engine
damage based on the amount of contact?
Do YOU accept thousands of other risk factors
every time you fly?
Are YOU going to worry about it more than the work
will be worth?
I did not do the inspection on my engine when I had
a similar occurance and I had the repair shop twisting my arm to run up a big
bill at the time also.
YOU and maybe mechanics you trust,
decide.
