I am trying to mount the last antennal into the plane - the ELT antenna. I
have the ACK ELT and their antenna. Their instructions say to mount it 5'
from other antennas with a 6-pole 18" radius (36" diameter) ground plane. I
do not a location that meets those requirements!

Questions for those who have mounted the antenna.
What did you use for the antenna?
    Where did you mount it?
What kind of ground plane did you use?
1. Foil "Z" shaped VFH (for 121.5) antenna.

2. Mounted vertically internally on the sidewall just behind the baggage bulkhead and slightly forward of the shelf supported ACK ELT in my glass 320.

3. None.

Does it work?  Yep, EMI tripped the ELT in Sedona, AZ and the sattellite found me in one pass!  I have not tried an accident yet.
