Your more extensive failure suggests the pipes may have been poorly made with internal stress or bad materials. Or, maybe there is not sufficient support for the length of pipes. Or, check that the pipes are not hitting any fixed airframe structure as the engine moves on it's mounts. Mark Ravinski N360KB 1387 hrs.
