I can see how the FL11 rod could be different lengths on both sides. When you talked to Lancair did you tell them that you did not have the MKII flaps. I am assuming you have the original 320 flaps from your discription. The rods you got may be for the MKII. It looks the length of the rods is set by the placement of the FL5 bellcrank bracket and the movement of the flaps, full and equal. For my nickel I would check with Lancair, Vern, to see if you got the right thing. If you can't get a longer rod from Lancair I would go out and get some 5/16" stainless steel rod. Cut it to the length of the original 1/4" rod and have them threaded. That way you are not jumping through hoops trying to make the wrong thing work. Good Luck Ray .
