I then screwed in the drain, placed the socket over it, added a liberal amount of micro around the socket, pressed the fiberglass shell over the socket and micro and cleaned up the excess micro. After cure I removed the socket and voila! All in all a 15 min. job. The fairings could be made without the fibreglass shell by simply cutting the handle off the spoon, making the hole in the spoon and using the spoon as a mold over the micro, I just like to have the 1 bid covering the micro, this way the edges will be much stronger and I won´t ruin the shape of the fairing if I accidently hit it with a piece of sandpaper during preparation for paint.
