I think the Grove brakes are only for the larger 5" wheels that come with the outback gear.

I found my old invoice. The Grove 56-3A is for the "Outback" gear and uses 5" wheels. It will not fit on the original Lancair gear.

I just got off of the phone with Robbie Grove. The 56-3A kit is for both the regular gear and the Outback gear. Robbie says that he needs to know which type of gear is used because the axles are slightly different. He also says that you should probably get the nut and bolts from him at the same time because they are slightly different in length and only cost about $7 or $8.
I asked whether he would rather have us order the wheels from him or AS. He said that he would rather deal directly with the customer because he knows the difference between the standard and Outback gear whereas with AS you will have to tell them to make sure they send the correct parts. Robbie says that he has helped several Lancair owners change their wheels.
