Sky2high requested information on customs, insurance, passport, etc. required
for coming to Canada for the race on October 1,2,3/04. We are just beginning
communication with DOT to get all the regs. It is a pretty simple thing, usually.
A flight plan has to be filed for cross-border flights; customs has to be
notified 2 hours in advance and informed of time of arrival (there is an officer
at Windsor 24 hrs w/ no cost; proof of U.S. citizenship is required..a passport
is best; There may be a requirement for a proof of insurance IF this is
classified as a race or a special aviation event..or whatever their semantics
are. It will take a month, probably to get all this ironed out..our first
official meeting will be this Sunday. Will keep you informed in a future website
of all this as well as accommodation, entertainment, transportation, etc. Thanks
for asking. "Shadow".

Would
it be possible for someone to lay out the issues and the easy process to
fly to/from Canada? Customs? Insurance? Passport?
