Yes, I operate with this device.  Antenna placement can be=20 critical.  Mine is vertically located on the baggage hat shelf and is l= ess=20 sensitive looking forward when there is a passenger present.  At some t= ime=20 in the future I will place a blade antenna either on the bottom of the cowli= ng=20 or out on a wing.
 
Does it work?  Yes, well enough for its' cost.  It's as good=20= as a=20 second set of eyes, not perfect but gets your eyes off that fancy moving map= and=20 out the window.  Most of the time I never see who is encroaching on my=20 space - other times I can visually locate the offender because it is close=20 enough to see.  I do turn off the audio when I'm in my=20 busy Class D airport environment.
 
Perhaps someone can comment on the TPAS unit.=20
