This came up a few weeks ago, and I wanted to let everyone know what I did. You may remember that I had a renewal offer of $13,785. with $400K Hull and No deductible. That is what I had paid the year before. In that was $677.00 for $1 MM Liability.
I chose to only get Liability and self insure the hull. They had to requote and that is $3275.00. Now you go figure, but no good explanation and that is what I paid.
I was told that this was the ONLY company underwriting L4P's and the only reason I could even get insurance was because I was with them last year. The underwriter is Global Aerospace, rated "A".
It looks like we need to talk more about this as time goes by so that I don't have to repeat this next year. Any leads that use a different underwriter would be of interest. I understand that a Turbine can't get any coverage? Is that why there are some for sale?

6 new cylinders and back in the air,

Jim Hergert
N6XE, "An Sex Y" L4P
