LNC2s (II-Ps) that are 235/320/360s have an aircraft plywood firewall
with 1 BID on each side. According to plans and FAA part 23 (?), the
forward face is further covered with 3 layers of Fiberfrax (ceramic fiber
blanket) and a hefty sheet of stainless steel. Locally removing
some of the plywood (not all) allows the bulkhead fitting to make the reach
while retaining the fire-resistant qualities. I forgot to mention that the
exposed wood in the holes thru the plywood should be sealed (I used epoxy), if
possible.

"...as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know
we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are
some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we
don't know we don't know." D. Rumsfeld
