Why don't you talk to the CAFE folks. They did an impartial evaluation on Derek Hine's IV-P some years back.

I had a conversation with Rutan some years back where we discussed a race between my IV and the Boomerang. He said that he would only race if the race parameters favored his design. In that spirit, I think a fair performance test would be to  see which plane (Legacy or IV) could get three people and their baggage from San Francisco to Denver  fastest and on the least amount  of fuel ;-) .  You have already demonstrated that you are faster moving two people around at ~8,000 feet.

People used to say bad things about me at an alarming rate but they don't anymore. It is not that they quit saying bad things, it is just that I am no longer alarmed.

You should lighten up before you start sounding like one of those guys with the tinfoil cap who talks to the empty cans he collects in a shopping cart.
