The previous plethora of posts (and one subsequent) regarding this subject happened to be mostly Air Force driving old fast lawn darts. Each story appeared to hold a morsel of fear of the evolution. That fear may very well have been warranted in those birds at that time. The applicable point that practicing simulated HAPL's, LAPL's, or SFO's depending on what you call it remains salient. Fear of this type of training in a Lancair has no value. >>> "Not trying to throw a big flamer here." Are you sure about that???? <<< Yes, I am. I can assure you that I have a sufficient background to throw gargantian flamers when appropriate. This is not the place or conversation. The comment was merely a nudge. Not even a sharp stick in the eye. I did my darndest to refrain from such powerful and confrontational adjectives as bigger, stronger, faster, & higher. I agree wholeheartedly with Scott albeit in perhaps a few less words. Interaction from the lurkers can provide pounds of vital insight, education, and occasionally entertainment to this community. Generally, the building, maintaining, and flying of Lancairs seems to be the most valuable content for this forum. Admittedly however, occasionally we squabble about interservice rivalrys, better Avionics, and offshore insurance holding companys which can provide a range from entertainment to distraction. Thank you for your post. We're delighted to have you.
