To not let you alone,US guys,for the French fighter,Super Mystere,SMB2,the
high key was 12000 feet above the runway at 90° of center line,so you had to
perform a 270° turn to short final having the runway in sight during all
that manoeuvre,with a speed of 190 IAS, throttle back "in the pocket" and
1/4th air brakes to compensate the residual thrust of engine at idle.
