That was about the only place we could get that had weather that would permit 12,000 AGL!!! We finally came up with a procedure at Bitburg for carrying 215 kcas on a GCA final if we had engine problems, and if it quit, you haul back on the stick and pull the handles. Thank God nobody had to do that one either.
